Give your tools an identity anyone can check.

Print a QR code or tap an NFC sticker and the item answers for itself: who owns it, what paperwork it holds, and whether it has been reported stolen. No app to download. No login.

Scan this with your phone

Not a screenshot, and not a video. This is a real tag on the live system. Point your camera at it — no app, no account, nothing to install — and see exactly what someone sees when they scan one of your tools.

No camera to hand? Type the code in instead, exactly as someone would off a scratched sticker:

DEMO

at servicepay.uk/verify

Open the demonstration tag

This is a demonstration tag and says so when you open it. No real business or tool is described. A real tag shows only what its owner chose to publish — which can be nothing more than a contact number.

What's included

No app, no login, no account

The person scanning is a stranger - a buyer, a site manager, someone who found it in a hedge. They get an answer from a web page, immediately.

Codes that survive real work

The code uses an alphabet with no I, L, O or U, so it reads correctly off a scratched sticker or an engraved plate. It can also be typed in by hand.

Stickers, engraving or NFC

A sticker suits a boat or a machine flank. It does not suit a drill or a set of ladders - so the same code can be engraved, stamped or carried on an NFC tag instead.

You choose what it shows

Publish as much or as little as you like: owner only, or serial, certificates and calibration state as well. Set a company-wide default and override it item by item.

Or publish nothing at all

A tag can show only a contact number, so a finder can reach you while a thief learns nothing. Individual items can be locked behind a password.

Re-pointable

The code is a token, not a fixed address. If an item is replaced, the code can be pointed at the new one rather than reprinted.

QR & NFC Asset Tracking — your questions

Does the person scanning need the app?

There is no app. They point a phone camera at the code, or tap an NFC tag, and a web page opens. They can also type the code into servicepay.uk/verify if the tag is damaged.

Won't a thief just remove the sticker?

Usually, yes - which is why the code can also be engraved or hidden. Thieves are rarely thorough, and one surviving code is enough to identify the item.

Is my private information published?

Only what you choose. By default a tag shows a contact route and nothing else. You decide, company-wide or item by item, whether to show serials, certificates or your details.

Can I password-protect a tag?

Yes. A locked tag shows your reach-out contact and nothing more until the code shown with it is entered. Useful where the item is on a client's site.
